Vocational Evaluation at ORC Industries


Vocational Evaluation is the important "first step" to the rehabilitation or work assessment process.
Offered at our LaCrosse, Wisconsin facility, this 10 day program is designed to assist clients and their service providers in vocational planning. A Vocational Evaluation may be just what is needed to help determine both work capabilities and career interests. Referral for a Vocational Evaluation could come from the county, DVR, school districts or private pay sources.

Flexibility

 

Depending upon the client's tolerance, the hours per day can be reduced and the number of days in attendance can be increased so the client can function at optimum performance.
Payment


During actual work time, the client will be paid for their production in accordance with company standards.

Throughout the course of a Vocational Evaluation, each client is evaluated by trained staff to determine:

  • Work Habits
  • Vocational Interests
  • Abilities
  • Aptitudes
  • Social Adjustment
  • Physical Stamina
  • Range of Motion
  • Body Coordination
  • Work Samples
    1. Actual work assignments
    2. Standardized testing in an integrated production area

Possible Outcomes.

After completion of the Vocational Evaluation, the Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist will prepare a detailed written summary of the results. Based upon the findings, vocational recommendations can be made such as:

Additionally, a staffing will be held so the Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist can discuss the evaluation and corresponding report with all parties involved.
