Our most valuable resources are our employees. Without them, we would not be able to provide our Customers with the high quality products that have become synonymous with our name. Because of the value of our employees we take steps to provide a healthy and safe workplace at ORC Industries. Some of these steps include the sanctioning of a proactive safety committee at each facility. Each Safety Committee conducts audits and monitors each finding until closure. In addition to safety, we continue to focus on our employees’ health and wellness through nutritional counseling and the investment in two state-of-the-art Wellness Centers at the La Crosse and Brownsville locations.

Environmental Advocacy

We realize that we not only have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to our Customers and our employees, we also have a responsibility to our environment. Because of this, we strive to continually improve our efforts to reduce our consumption of natural resources.

Taking Care of the Present

Our daily goal is to manage our processes to ensure that we protect the health and safety of each of our employees, and to manage our manufacturing processes to ensure that we sustain and/or enhance our environment.

The results speak for themselves. On the average, our OSHA Injury Incident Rate is less than 1.1, a third of the national industry average. Our manufacturing processes have been reviewed by representatives from each state environmental office where we have facilities, and our processes have been acknowledged as being environmentally compliant.

Our Vision For The Future

Looking into the future, our goal is to expand our corporation in an increasing effort to continue to fulfill our corporate mission. To achieve this goal we will need to add new processes and we will need to increase our workforce. However, prior to adding a new process, we will review each new process to ensure that it does not compromise our commitment to the safety and health of our employees, or to our environment.

Commitment

Due to our commitment to our employees and to our environment, any new process will first be scrutinized from start to finish. Representatives from Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality, R&D, Production Management as well as Operators will gather to review, plan, discuss, test and modify the process to ensure that it will yield the best quality product for our Customers while providing a safe working environment for our employees, with a minimal impact on the environment.

We believe that it is important to share with you our words of commitment to our Customers, our employees and our environment. However, we believe that it is more important to take action and prove that these are more than just words. That action is happening on a regular basis at ORC Industries.
